The Erie Zoo, is a zoological park in Erie, Pennsylvania. It is located on 15 acres of land in Glenwood Park, just off West 38th Street between Cherry Street and Glenwood Park Avenue. The zoo has more than 400 animals, while the botanical gardens and greenhouse have over 600 species of plants from around the world. The zoo, which operates from March to November, attracts more than 400,000 annual visitors.

The Bicentennial Tower was built in 1996 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the city of Erie and has become a “must do” for tourists and locals alike. While on the top observation deck, 138 feet above Presque Isle Bay, you can see in every direction and enjoy stunning views of Lake Erie, Presque Isle, the City of Erie and outlying areas. In fact, on a clear day it’s possible to see all the way to Long Point in Ontario, Canada, 27 miles away!
