WHAT YOU DIDN’T REALIZE YOU NEEDED TO PACK FOR YOUR NEXT CAMPING TRIP

Whether you’re a camping pro or a beginner, you probably think you’ve got it all covered, right? How could you not?! You’ve checked and triple-checked your to-do lists and packing essentials by now, so you’ve gotta be all set.

Wrong you are my friend.

Sure, there are certain things you’ll need for camping, but there are other (admittedly not as essential) camping items that can either make or break your trip. Whether or not you stow these added items away, these 10 items are definitely worth your consideration.

Unscented Baby Wipes

Yes, even if you’re not bringing along any babies. Unscented baby wipes will come in handy when you’re going to the bathroom, cleaning off dishes or just feel like you need to wash up. This method of cleaning up is way easier than filling up a tub of water to wash your pots and pans by hand.

Flip flops

Probably weren’t thinking flip flops would make the list of what to pack for your camping trip, did you? Sure, sneakers, boots and more durable shoes are top priority, but don’t forget to throw in a pair of flip flops, too.

You’ll want to take off those dirty, muddy and sweaty hiking shoes to kick back, relax and air out. Also, they’ll be a lot more convenient to slip on in the middle of the night when you need to make a late-night bathroom run.

Headlamp

Flashlights, yes. Headlamps, also yes. Headlamps can be a lot more convenient when you’re trying to keep both of your hands available. Whether it’s a late-night hike, cooking in the dark, or, again, another late-night bathroom run, you’ll want to be handsfree.

Fold-up lightweight hammock

Because who doesn’t want to lounge out? What better way to sit back, relax and take in the great outdoors by swinging on a comfortable, pop-up hammock in the middle of mother nature? They can serve as extra seating options during a campfire and another option to sleep in (if weather agrees).

A bandana

Albeit not the trendiest in camping gear, bandana’s serve multiple purposes in the camping world. The versatile camping essential makes a great headband if you’re trying to keep your hair and/or sweat out of your face, a neck scarf or even a towel. Bandanas can be used to wipe off your dishes, pots and pans.

A Pocket Shower

A what? Pocket Shower’s provide eight whole minutes of cleansing. The waterproof fabric attracts heat so your shower will at least be lukewarm. Or, the darker fabric pocket shower’s soak up sun during the day at basecamp for a warm shower.

The Pocket Shower is made of high quality, wear-resistant, waterproof fabric. Built into the base is a compact showerhead that operates with an easy-to-use on/off twist mechanism to adjust the flow of water.

A Hanging Cupboard

You’ll want something to stash your food, ingredients, dishware and more.

These hanging cupboards can latch onto any tree or branch and hold all of your essentials. These hanging organizers help to keep everything neatly organized.

A Portable Washing Machine

No secret you might get a little stinky out in the woods. A portable washing machine is a bag that holds little nodules that can help you wash your clothes and towels within minutes. And you'll be happy to know that the convenience of having a portable washing machine is more affordable than you think.

Portable washing machines are ideal for cleaning clothes in small spaces. A portable washer makes it easy to roll out when needed & hide when not in use. Portable Sink Because let’s face it, there’s always one high maintenance camper in every group. Portable sinks are a great place to hold your toothbrushes, razors, toothpaste and other toiletries. Without a need for plumbing or water installation, portable hand wash sinks are readily available in locations where handwashing is required – or at least preferred.

Glow-in-the-Dark Tape

Again, another handy item for late-night runs. Glow-in-the-dark tape can be used as a helpful trail marker. Or, some people even wrap it around tent stakes so no one trips over them at night.
