The members also have the ability to buy and sell industry related items to fellow members. Additionally, we bring industry partners closer through Facebook group for Associates to connect to members parks. The Activities page will alleviate some of the headache of trying to find a post about activities.
Assistance With Government Regulations
• The state level of the government relations function is conducted mainly by the Operations Committee in conjunction with the Administrative Office and our lobbyist, Milliron and Goodman.

• A hallmark regulatory accomplishment was keeping campsites from being included in Act 18, which is basically a hotel bed tax dedicated to tourism funding.

• Our most recent regulatory success was Act 33 of 2020 which added campgrounds to regulatory protection for hotels. Guest evictions and guest abandoned property are two important benefits to PA Campgrounds.

• State Level Program – Governmental Relations at the state level consists mainly of:
—Monitoring: Members of the Operations Committee, as well as the staff of Milliron and Goodman, constantly monitor state legislative and regulatory information.
—Informing membership: When a legislative or regulatory issue is deemed to be of importance to the RV park and campground industry, the membership is informed at conventions, at regional meetings or by the PCOA newsletter.
—Membership response: The membership is asked to inform their Representatives as to our needs and interests as they pertain to the current legislative and regulatory issues. This collective effort has a meaningful grass roots impact.
