The scenic beauty of the mountains and the simple setting along Pine Creek make for a peaceful, pleasurable stay. The campsites are located right along the stream. Spring is a very popular time for canoeing, rafting, and fishing, especially fly-fishing. The campground offers direct access to the Rail Trail and is located about midway from either trail head. Swimming and tubing are popular in the summer. On occasion, the bald eagles make an appearance. They can usually be spotted soaring above the campground and flying over the stream.
