Clayton Park Recreational Area is a seasonal campground and boat launch where for over 80 years one family has endeavored to provide the public with opportunities for memorable outdoor experiences. The campground is banked by beautiful Lake Henry, the second largest lake in Wayne County, privately owned and sprawling over 300 acres. Eagles fish there regularly and so can you. Come out for live local musicians every Saturday from Memorial through Labor Day in the Campfire Music Series. Enjoy outdoor movies every Friday and various weekend activities including multiple opportunities for animal education. Activities are designed to define the distinct “flavor” of the campground through which the management hopes to express its love of families, its passion for the healing sounds of live music, its inspiration from the creativity of artists, and its desire to provide a place you can genuinely feel at home without the pressures of life at home.
